(The Hidden Gold)
Wolfgang Paul is the publisher of Das verschwiegene Gold (The Hidden Gold) by Dr. Guido Hradil, former Docent of Geology at the University of Innsbruck, Tyrol, Austria, and Court-Appointed Expert on Mining Works, with an extensive, illustrated German and English Introduction by the Publisher. (IN MEMORIAM dedicated by Paul to Mining Engineer, Former Director of Mines, Hans Wurzinger, with sincere love and appreciation.) This story takes place in Tyrol, Austria, during the gruesome Thirty Years’ War. (17th Century.) A religious war between Catholics and Protestants. A gripping drama, also showing the terrible senselessness of war. Naturally, as the title of the story indicates, gold plays a significant role therein. Paul’s extensive, illustrated German and English Introduction to Hradil’s work contains not only a commentary with 55 pictures, but also a very personal note.
