In spite of all the political and economic upheavals or hardships, the Paul Brothers, could pursue their explorations and research projects perseveringly, as they loved their kind of work, on an international scope, by the grace of God.

On the occasion of a long excursion, students of mining once wrote this poem with a spiritual touch, dedicated to the Pauls:

Always cheerful and content
Are the Brothers Paul.
Slowly they’re climbing the ladder.
To them a heartfelt miner’s greeting we extend: “Glück auf!”
